Guinness World Record for the Longest Marathon Playing a Boardgame… with Small World!
Earlier today (Wednesday, August 1) in Scotland, Ben Miller, Sean McFarlane, Duncan Conner and Christian Olsson began playing Small World… and they don’t plan to stop for at least 54 hours! They’re making an official attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the Longest Marathon Playing a Boardgame.
The World Record attempt is being held in the Bus Stop Toy Shop in the town of Largs (west of Glasgow), and while you may not be able to get to Scotland to cheer them on in person, you can follow along on their the Bus Stop Toy Shop Facebook page, or even watch the moves of every Flying Ghoul and Pillaging Skeleton by viewing the Live Stream of the World Record Attempt.
In addition to the record attempt, the four are also playing for a good cause – they have set up a donation page for a local charity – the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland. If you’d like to join in and support them and this worthy charity visit the CHAS Donation Page to make a contribution in support of Ben, Sean, Duncan and Christian.
We wish the four good luck and hope to be able to celebrate their success in a few days with a “wee dram” in their honor!
