Important information regarding the Ticket to Ride chat

December 15th, 2021

Greeting conductors!

During recent times we have been hard at work attempting to stem a new tide of malicious activity found in Ticket to Ride’s public chat system.
This behaviour goes against everything that we stand for and believe in at Asmodee Digital, and as such have been taking swift and decisive action in an attempt to limit these behaviours.

In order to prevent further reprehensible behaviour from these individuals, we will be disabling the public chat functionality and ability to give a personalised name to your games in Ticket to Ride on all platforms for the time being. In-game stickers and communication in private games will however still be available.

This is not a permanent solution and we are investigating ways to bring the public chat back in a safe and fun manner that will fit with not only our ideals, but also for people of all ages that enjoy Ticket to Ride.

We will provide further updates to this situation as we are able, and wish you all the best in building your locomotive empire!

We thank you very much for your patience and understanding,

Asmodee Digital

Support breast cancer research with Ticket to Ride: Play Pink!

September 27th, 2021

Play Pink Kicks off Days of Wonder official partnership with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation

Days of Wonder, Asmodee and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) are proud to announce their world premiere partnership: the release of an exclusive train set in-theme with the classic pink coloring long associated with the breast cancer cause. $2/2€ per special edition pack sold will support breast cancer research through BCRF.

This new set of trains can be used across Ticket to Ride properties, with all trains and stations ready for use in both Ticket to Ride and Ticket to Ride Europe sporting the classic pink coloring.

Ticket to Ride: Play Pink is a fundraising project led by Days of Wonder and Asmodee in 18 countries around the world to support breast cancer research. This limited edition set has been printed in pink, the official colors of the BCRF, and has a unique train shape making it a must-have for collectors and new players alike.

The entire production system has been modified to support this important cause and Days of Wonder and Asmodee commit to a non-profit approach with the sets, meaning all profits will be contributed to BCRF. For each set of trains sold, $2 will be donated to BCRF. The suggested retail price of $5 covers the cost of logistics and production only, with no revenue being collected by Asmodee or its studio. 80,000 Ticket to Ride Play Pink sets will be available during October known as Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Breast cancer is now the most common cancer in the world. Every diagnosis is unique and puts lives at risk. We must stop breast cancer in its tracks, and research is the answer.

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation is the largest private funder of breast cancer research in the world. BCRF invests in a wide range of research across more than a dozen countries—from prevention to metastasis—because each area of investigation informs another, propelling us toward the solutions we urgently need.  BCRF convenes and connects the best minds in science—giving them the opportunity to pursue their most innovative ideas. BCRF-funded investigators have been behind every major breakthrough in breast cancer research, and the field is moving faster than ever.

Ticket to Ride: Play Pink is a limited edition Train & Station Set and will be available worldwide in October, in the following countries: France, Netherland, USA, Italy, UK, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Belgium, Spain, Romania, Poland, Canada, Brazil, Chile, German and China, for the suggested retail price of $5/5€.

DLCs missing? What happened and how we fixed it

November 5th, 2020

Hello everyone!

Many people lost access to one or several DLCs after the 2.7.10 update, for the reason we will explain below.

This only affected players that bought the game or one of the DLCs on the following platforms: the Apple AppStore, the Apple Mac AppStore, the Google Play Store and the Steam Store.

First, let us point out that, if it’s not done already, you simply need to relaunch your app or game (close it and restart it) to be restored access to these maps, as we fixed this issue.
If not (you never know, there are always some rebellious accounts), please contact us here and we will do the necessary: https://asmodee.helpshift.com/a/ticket-to-ride/?contact=1

Now, let us explain what happened: some months ago, many of you reported a bug where when you bought one or several maps, you received one or several of the reported missing maps (Europe, USA 1910, Legendary Asia, India, Switzerland and Nordic Countries) for free.

Please note that having achievements on these maps doesn’t prove that you ever purchased them, it simply proves you got access to it- which is precisely what the bug did.
Additionally, it seems important to us to precise, because of many confusions, that the “Europe” map only contains one map, the Europe one, and isn’t a bundle of maps.
It goes the same way with the base game “Ticket to Ride” which only contains the basic USA map (not USA Mega / USA 1910) and is not a bundle either.
Finally, please know that your purchase history cannot be tampered with by us or anyone else, and thus if the maps you were missing don’t appear, it shows that you indeed did not purchase them and benefitted from this bug I explained above.

We have been working on this for the past few months and the last update, version 2.7.10, did fix, among other issues, this particular one- that is why you temporarily lost access to these maps.

However, as previously stated, we decided to give back all the missing maps to everyone who got affected by it as this was solely our mistake in the first place.
We successfully wrote and deployed a script which did that and that is why you now simply need to restart your game to find these maps back.

We thank you very much for your patience and understanding,

We hope you will have fun playing on these maps again!
