Guinness World Record for the Longest Marathon Playing a Boardgame… with Small World!
To help you wait for the arrival of the upcoming expansion of Small World, we just uploaded the rules on Small World Realms web page.
So? Are you still here? What are you waiting for?
The Small World Universe is expanding beyond its borders with Small World Realms, a big new expansion that features scores of puzzle-like geomorphic Terrain tiles that assemble into countless different board maps. With Realms, the very ground your fantasy races walk upon is shifting under their feet!
With the release of Small World Realms becoming imminent, it is time for us to dig into one of the most complex scenarios of this pack – A Dig Too Far. Here to shed some light on this new Underground Realm is Philippe Keyaerts, the designer of Small World.
Following our adventure to the East, let’s consider a slightly more complex scenario – The Crops of Power.
This 2-6 player scenario introduces a new rule that lets each player who ventures into these Realms use not 1, but 2 Special Powers! But let’s catch up with Philippe Keyaerts, the game designer of Small World again…
As we are putting the finishing touches on our latest Small World expansion, it seems to be the right time to discuss one of the most important aspects of the Realms: Its scenarios.
Twelve in total, there are enough to appeal to both expert masters of Small World and novice players alike. Thanks to the geomorphic nature of the Terrain tiles, each scenario can be customized for a varying number of players, with many of the scenarios scaling well up to 6 players!

Still some months away from the actual release of Small World Realms, speculations are ramping up… What wonders do these Realms hold in their midst? How do they look like, from above and underground? And how modular are they and the Regions that form them?
