West of the Dauphiné Alps, the Vercors Plateau forms a 3,000 feet high natural fortress with limited access to the outside world. Following the invasion of France’s Zone Libre by German and Italian armies, elements of the now disbanded Army of the Armistice found in Vercors the perfect base of operations from which to continue harassing the German occupier and its despised ally, the French Milice…
So begins the background to the Vercors Campaign – five new scenarios created by Jacques “jdrommel” David that highlight the heroic Maquisards of the French Resistance and their battle against overwhelming SS forces on the Vercors Plateau in the summer of 1944. As with all Memoir ’44 Campaigns, victory is earned over multiple battles with the outcome of each scenario determining the circumstances of the next.

The Sword of Stalingrad expansion features 2 large-scale ready-to-play Overlord Scenarios; 2 standard scenarios; new Summary cards for the previously published Battle Maps and Mediterranean Theater expansion; and, for the first time, additional cards for in-game play – the new Combat Deck specifically designed for urban warfare.
As many of you have discovered, Memoir ’44 by design is not a complex game. With this in mind, our goal from the very outset was to present the rules for the core set and all expansions in a logical and concise manner.
The only problem is that players sometimes have different interpretations of how to play no matter how concise the rule, and they look for clarification to be sure they are playing correctly.
Jesse (rasmussen81), who is a contributor to the Memoir ’44 Campaign Book, created the Memoir ’44 History Club at Jewell Elementary School in Bend, Oregon. It meets twice a week after school and has students not only learning how to play Memoir ’44, but also about WWII history.
