The Tigers in the Snow expansion features 2 large-scale ready-to-play Overlord Scenarios, 6 Tiger Tanks miniatures and 2 bonus scenarios.

Tigers in the Snow is a Winter scenario set on the Eastern Front and features the tactics of famed German Panzer General Guderian; while Operation Market Garden focuses on General Montgomery’s bold attempt to drop Allied troops behind German lines in the Netherlands. The Market Garden scenario is fought on a unique 11-hex deep map, specially designed by Memoir ’44 author Richard Borg for the occasion.

The Battle Map series is designed to encourage team play and accommodates up to 8 players; each map comes ready-to-play with all terrain, obstacles and unit positions pre-printed, making set-up a snap. Battle Map Volume 2 includes 6 new Tiger Tank miniatures and 2 additional bonus scenarios that are playable on a regular Memoir ’44 board - Villers-Bocage and St-Aignan-de-Cramesnil.

Memoir ’44 Battle Map Volume 2 requires 1 copy of Memoir ’44 and the Operation Overlord expansion, or two full copies of Memoir ’44 to play. It is expected to be available in May in both North America and Europe. Retail price is $18/€16.

Jesse (rasmussen81), who is a contributor to the Memoir ‘44 Campaign Book, created the Memoir ‘44 History Club at Jewell Elementary School in Bend, Oregon. It meets twice a week after school and has students not only learning how to play Memoir ‘44, but also about WWII history. You have been requesting Campaign Play in Memoir ‘44 for a long time, here it comes, brought to you by some of our most active fans! Keen observers among you will already have recognized some of them on our forums lately, thanks to their distinctive Avatar Generalship.

This first Campaign Book for Memoir ‘44 brings a new dimension to the game: instead of playing each scenario individually, you will now be given a chance to play those in succession, using new campaign rules to link the outcome of one battle to the next. Will you throw all of your troops into battle at once, at the risk of lacking crucial resources later on; or should you adopt a more cautious stance, keeping some units in reserve to ensure that any future setback remains temporary? The final victory will hinge on the tactical and strategic choices you make.

The first set of campaigns places you in the footsteps of Montgomery during the battle for Caen and the freeing of Normandy in the summer of 1944. We recommend that you start with one of these campaigns, as they will help familiarize you with our new campaign rules. The second set of campaigns will set you at the eve of the War, as you relive the desperate struggle of the Allies against the German Blitzkrieg that terrified the population of Western Europe in 1940. Finally, a third set of campaigns will transport you to the frozen steppes of the USSR during Operation Barbarossa, in the summer, fall and bitterly cold winter of 1941. In all, over 50 new scenarios await you in these campaigns.

Campaign Book, Volume 1 will be available in February ‘09 in the US and Europe.

The Memoir ’44 Organized Play program consists of a series of game demonstrations and tournaments held in public venues such as game stores and game clubs. Players that do not know the game have a chance to discover it, while veterans compete in those events.

The Memoir ‘44 High Command Staff

The most requested addition to the Memoir ‘44 system is for the British army and the new Mediterranean Theater expansion delivers. These Brits take to the sands of North Africa in 8 brand new scenarios that feature the famous “Stiff Upper Lip” tenacity of the British soldiers.

The Mediterranean Theater expansion features 75 new figures including 42 British Infantry, 24 Crusader Tanks, six 25 pounder guns and 3 anti-tank Special Weapon Assets. Also included are a new Mediterranean Rules booklet with 8 new historical scenarios in North Africa, 44 new double-sided Terrain tiles, new obstacles, markers and Special Forces badges.

There is also more good Memoir ‘44 news - in addition to the new Mediterranean Theater expansion, reprints for the Terrain Pack, Winter/Desert Board and Pacific Theater expansions that have been unavailable will also be back in stock at the same time. Many fans say that the most fun they have playing is when playing Memoir ‘44 Overlord scenarios with a group of friends or at a convention. The downside was always the long setup or the need to combine cards and figures from two different copies of the game. These two new expansions not only remove those barriers, but take Memoir ‘44 Overlord to the next level of fun.

The Operation Overlord expansion was specifically created to aid setup and enhance the play of multi-player Overlord scenarios Included are: 2 special decks of updated Command cards that provide players with the correct card makeup for Overlord games, 2 punchboards of Army figure tokens that are used to represent figures from different nations and make it possible to play Overlord with only a single copy of the base game. Also included are 8 Memoir ‘44 dice for the additional players and an updated version of the Overlord Rules.

The Hedgerow Hell Memoir ‘44 Overlord BattleMap expansion includes a large-scale, double-sided map with two new Memoir ‘44 Overlord Scenario’s - Hedgerow Hell and The Cadets of Saumur, plus 6 new Dodge Truck miniature figures. The oversized map, which is 57 x 27.5 inches in size, is ready-to-play with all terrain, obstacles and unit positions pre-printed – just add figures! It also features the scenario rules, terrain and unit summary cards, and historical background.

Perfect for group play at home or gaming events with fellow Memoir ‘44 friends, the Overlord BattleMap series is designed for 2 to 8 players and requires either 1 copy of the original Memoir ‘44 board game, plus the Operation Overlord Expansion; or 2 copies of the board game.
