Days of Wonder will be at the International Games Festival in Cannes (France) at the end of the week.
Come and meet us on our booth (20.01) if you’re around…
We’re creating a new digital version of YOUR favorite fantasy board game… and you can help make it better thanks to Kickstarter!
Small World was the first board game EVER on the iPad – if you were one of those who waited in line at your Apple store that day, you could start playing the minute you got home. Fans and critics alike loved it. But our development team quickly turned their focus onto Ticket to Ride for iPad making it look like we had abandoned Small World.
Our Holiday Gift offer has become something of an annual tradition. Whether you’re choosing a board game for a family member, a friend, or even yourself – we like to kick in a little extra for you. This year we’re not only offering you a free gift, we’re also expanding the gift program to include those who could use a little more help from all of us.
Our skeleton crew at the Days of Wonder Mansion has released a haunting update to Ticket to Ride for iPad just in time for All Hallows Eve. Rabid fans of the game will be treated to a haunted train station with killer game skins; and tricked to pursue buried-alive achievements and catch ghosts that will make them undisputed Pumpkin Masters of the Ticket to Ride Universe.
October is Halloween month, but for gamers something even more exciting is brewing – it’s Essen Spiel, the world’s largest game convention. This year in Essen, Days of Wonder will debut two new products – The Shadows over Camelot Card Game and the Ticket to Ride Halloween Freighter.
Frightful pumpkin trains and spooky stations are scheduled to arrive just in time for Halloween with a new add-on for the Ticket to Ride Series – the Halloween Freighter.
This new set of custom-sculpted trains and stations includes 45 new orange-colored Pumpkin Trains and 3 spooky Halloween Stations. It’s a Halloween treat for Ticket to Ride fans worldwide that can be used as a replacement train set for any of Ticket to Ride game or map collection.
Aye Matey, ye best be makin’ yer way to friendly harbors to fill yer tankards and stock yer larders with gaming provisions, lest ye be keel-hauled with the rest of the scurvy blaggards!
Congratulations to Ben Miller, Sean McFarlane, Duncan Conner and Christian Olsson of Scotland who battled over the Small World board for 54 hours and 45 minute to break the Guinness World record for the Longest Boardgame Marathon in Scotland last week. Sean apparently didn’t get enough as he challenged any of the volunteers who witnessed the event to a game of Small World over the weekend! (more…)
