Small World for iPad 1.0 introduces new solo play mode

With it’s debut on April 3rd, Small World became one of the first interactive board games created specifically for the Apple iPad. This new digital version of Small World is finding as many fans as the original board game. While tens of thousands of iPad owners have embraced Small World, the most frequent request from players was to add a solo play mode so they could enjoy playing Small World for iPad even more often.

Winners of the 20 Millionth Online Game Giveaway!

We have our winners of our 20 Millionth Online Game Giveaway. ctsparrow of Pocatello, Idaho (US) played mitole ~ Wanadoo of France in a 2 player game of Ticket to Ride online (the US map) in the 20,000,000 Days of Wonder Online game. The game ended at 16:45 Paris time (8:45 in Idaho) on Wednesday, June 23. ctsparrow came out triumphant and has won a 16GB Wi-FI enabled Apple iPad plus a copy of the Small World for iPad game. mitole ~ Wanadoo wins a pretty nice consolation prize, an 8GB Apple iPod Touch.

Next week you will see some major changes in how you interact with the Days of Wonder website and our online games – we have changed a lot of what happens under the hood to make our online games simpler, better and more scalable, as well as easier to learn and more straightforward to purchase.

With these upcoming changes you will be given a grace period to convert your existing account to the new model – a simple process that will allow you to setup your new Days of Wonder Online account based on your past purchases and usage. If you have ever registered with us and created an online account, you will receive an email that spells out the conversion process and explains the new benefits to you in detail.

But we wanted to give you a preview of the important changes, so you would know what to expect next week and not be totally surprised when you next visit Days of Wonder Online.
