New Memoir ’44 D-Day Landings Battle Maps hit the beaches in June

“You are about to embark upon the Great Crusade, toward which we have striven these many months. The eyes of the world are upon you.”

Dwight D. Eisenhower.

70 years after D-Day, and celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Memoir ’44 game system, the D-Day Landings expansion commemorates the Normandy landings with six unique Battle Maps. The new Extended Breakthrough format introduced in this expansion is 23 hexes deep and offers battles on a scale and scope never seen before.

The D-Day Landings maps include settings for: American Airborne, Utah Beach, Omaha Beach, Gold Beach, Juno Beach, and Sword Beach. Each battle can be played individually or assembled with its neighboring scenarios for epic Double- and Triple-Map battles.

With enough players, you can even link all six Battle Maps together for the Ultimate D-Day Landing Experience, creating a giant board that recreates the entire Normandy coast! All 6 Battle Maps, plus new troop tokens for Supported Infantry & Supported Armor, and an English/French rulebook come encased in a cloth-bound Commemorative Briefing Folder for an expected retail price of $35/€35.

The operational date for the D-Day Landings is dependent on weather conditions and supply lines but expect to find yourself battling on the beaches of Normandy in June.

Deploy your troops, call in reinforcements, take control of enemy positions to secure your advance… and make sure that your friends are covering your flanks!

When it goes up for order/preorder please post another news article. I got all excited then discovered that I could not order it. 🙁

  2. stevens says:

Not what I had expected, but in light of supporting the historical memory of June 6′ 1944 – very appropriate. Will order my copy when it becomes available.

    Looks Great,

but had fingers crossed for a Memoir 1914 – Memoir 14. Have to admit it would have been a great addition. Maybe next time ?

    • Antoi says:

But Brummbar has an WWI expansion on his site(brummbar44.com).

Are these pre-printed paper mats, as other expansion maps have been or are they boards?
