2014 marks the 10th Anniversary of the original release of Alan R. Moon’s Ticket to Ride board game. To celebrate, Days of Wonder is hosting a year long series of worldwide tournaments to crown a new Ticket to Ride World Champion. Over 20 different countries will participate to determine National Champions, with each being invited to Paris for the World Championship event in September of 2014.
How will the Ticket to Ride World Champion celebrate his or her victory? With a World-Class rail adventure – the Grand Prize is an unforgettable trip for two to the orient which includes a rail link aboard the legendary Eastern & Oriental Express between Bangkok and Singapore!
Will you be the one to catch that train ride of a lifetime?! You’ll only find out if you enter the Ticket to Ride Championships in your country.

Is there any reason why the only 3 Canadian tournament dates, are in the 2 furthest western provinces? There are 10 provinces in Canada, separated by distances almost 6’000km. In order to fly to one of these tournaments, It would be quicker for me to fly to England, than to the Calgary/Edmonton tournaments.
Why is there zero tournaments in eastern, or even CENTRAL Canada? Halifax NS has a convention for games/comics/etc in the fall, just like Calgary. It would be more accessible to the majority of the population in our country, than BC or Alberta.
Hi Darren ……
I`ll try to get in contact with DoW to rung a tournament in London, ON …..
There is a biannual con (London Family Game Day) and thats the perfect place for a TTR tournament …..
Best
Nils
Yes i don’t get that there is zero in Ontario and Quebec. I would love if there were one in Quebec city. It’s still a 6 hours drive but i think maybe i would make it.

There are no tounaments in South Africa. We distribute Days of Wonder and are quite capable of running tournaments in 1,2 or 3 cities. What do you require of your tounament organizors?
