Ticket to Ride for iPad enhances maps for the new iPad Retina display

Ticket to Ride for iPad has just updated its maps to take full advantage of the ultra high-resolution Retina display on the new iPad.

The new retina display dramatically enhances the Ticket to Ride maps, allowing us for the first time to display the same high-fidelity, finely-detailed paper textures and beautiful background illustrations that are featured in the real world Ticket to Ride board game.

In addition, the increased sharpness of the new iPad’s Retina display enabled us to keep the track symbols on the train routes even when playing in normal (non-zoomed) mode; this helps make it much easier for colorblind players to identify different routes on a map.

Existing Ticket to Ride iPad users can upgrade to the new version for free and new users can purchase it now from the App Store.

Yay! *updates* Now pleeeeeeease can we have more than 2-player pass & play support for Smallworld?

Very cool, but what I really want to see is asynch play as an option in the iPad version, and preferably allowing asynch play between iPad and iPhone versions too.

The new maps are absolutely stunning! Makes me excited to play all over again. Now please update the rest of the graphics. This update seems rushed.

    Android…..Android…..Android…..Android!!!!

Please make an Android compatible version for the rest of us. I refuse to buy an iPad just for TTR and Small World, but I sure do want to play them on an Android tablet.

Please issue all of the editions! Please give me more reasons to keep giving you money. I can’t tell you how many hours of fun and happiness that T2R has brought our family. We own every board game version, but prefer the speed of set up and scoring in the iPad version.

Our favorite edition of all time is Marklin. If I could only have one, that’s the one.

Map look gorgeous though many other assets dont appear to be retina enabled yet (like the app icon itself). Anyway I’ve only just started playing this wonderful game, thank you for bringing it to the iPad!

I bought this today because of news about the retina refresh and it is just awesome. I also learned about Small World today and totally want it – but I really want retina and online play like Ticket to Ride. Please update and I will buy it for sure!
