This is definitely an excellent promotion. I already want this game really bad, and I have no idea what it’s about!
I was recently impressed by a rulebook for an adventure game from another publisher that included a comic strip in the first few pages. I thought it was a wonderful way to ‘set the stage’ for the game – better than simply including a bit of flavor text.
It isn’t surprising that DoW is taking that idea to the next level. Well done. You have my interest.
