Banners in sight!
As promised, here is a quick update on the two issues we last mentioned:
We just received new sets of Blue long sword banners for your Hyena riders. Note that these are the exact same banners that are already attached to the Blue Regular Cavalry units in your base game of BattleLore. You can either use those, or click here to get our customer service department to send you some new ones!
The Specialist cards with a matching back will take a bit longer to arrive. We are currently at the mercy of lengthy lead times at our printers, who are busy ramping up for Christmas. Current ETA for these sets of replacement cards is mid-November.
What we opted to do is reprint the 10 Specialist cards that came in with your Call to Arms expansion, and give them the same back that is featured on Deployment cards and on all current and future cards in Specialists packs.
Before someone jumps the gun and says this wasn’t the Designer’s intent, it actually was 
! We unfortunately made the mistake of deciding to get fancy and give the Specialist cards a different illustration than the Deployment cards for no other reason that because it looked neat, and that decision came back to bite us 
So we are reverting back to the original design. The benefit is that you do not have to worry about any of your Specialist sets not matching going forward; furthermore, if you are not bothered by the visual difference, this will then give you another set of these 10 cool generic Specialist cards to play with!
Please do not call or e-mail us individually regarding any of the above, as we will not be able to tell you more than what is written above until the cards arrive. As for the banners, clicking on the link given above is the best way to ensure you receive them promptly.
Last not least, with the 100 Years War and Goblin Marauders now shipping, we have added the adventures that came with them online. We have also included a new web adventure titled “Abandoned Tower”.

Thanks for the update Eric. Nice to see that DoW as usual is on top of things, even though it took a while to find a solution. Of course you’ll notify us via the blog about the CtA cards as you know more.
I presume the banners will be sent USPS.
Also if someone orders a Goblin Marauders expansion from the DoW store, will the order process flag it to send the 2 banners as well in the same shipment? If so, when did that take effect so affect people are in the know.

No the banners will not be automatically sent with Marauders pack ordered from the web store, because they are not shipping from the same warehouse locations. So people who want the banners will have to proceed as detailed above.

Actually, this is one of the solutions that I predicted could happen for the cards in the previous blog entry
Nice to see DoW is still on top of things.
I wonder if the people saying they wouldn’t buy anymore battlelore until it was fixed, will start buying again this year.
And for those who were saying they MUST play it as the designer intended and no other way, its now going to be that way

Well I got the banners..was pleasantly surprised to see them shipped in bubble pack. DoW went over and above (i.e. could have sent them via a tiny envelope) again!!

The replacement banners for Goblin Marauders arrived in the mail. Great customer service. I wanted you to know how much I appreciate this, Days of Wonder. Like others have mentioned, you go far and above with quality and customer service whcih makes all of your games, not just Battlelore, worth a second look each time one is released.

With Labor day in the US, not all banner replacement requests have been fulfilled yet. This is normal, however. no need to worry or contact us, they will go out as soon as we can.
