M44 - All Quiet on the Western Front?
Following up on a often-animated discussion thread on the English forum of Memoir ‘44, and notwithstanding the WWI allusion in the above title, here is the first of a serie of posts on Memoir ‘44 - the game and its future.
At the risk of disappointing some, what follows should not be read as a change of heart on our part regarding the advisability and/or desirability of pre-announcing future products or expansions before they are ready for prime-time.
But what it is, is a recognition of the fact that, while abiding by our stance on the matter (we like to communicate about products once they are ready to ship, not months or years ahead of time), providing a general sense of where a product is heading makes sense - especially when that product is turning into a game system of sort, as Memoir ‘44 is with its expansions, given the investments this implies from our customers’ perspective.
This is what the forthcoming serie of posts on M44 will attempt to do.
