Off to Essen…
Just a quick note to let you all know that we are now off to Essen, where the largest boardgame convention in the world is held every year. We will be demonstrating BattleLore on our booth, # 68 in Hall 12.

We will resume our presence here, and post additional entries on this blog, once we are all back in the office and settled, in 10 days or so.
Thank you for your understanding.

You can check out some Battlelore demos on the Boardgamenews.com video coverage of day one at Essen. Battlelore starts about two minutes into the video:

Looks cool.

I played a demo game at Essen, and have posted my report on the Geek:

Niels, thanks for the report!
Too bad about the Elemental. It would have been cool to come home with one.

Yeah, the bad thing was that one of the DOW people who explained the game encouraged me to ask for the promo, given that I had come all the way from the US to look at the game

I’m just curious to know how many of you will sit down and paint all the minis? I’m afraid I will start painting my minis but than after 40 minis or so will find it to daunting to finish the rest. And I’d be all sorry that I started painting in the first place since I hate to play a game with some painted and some unpainted minis. It would look way to tacky for me and would put me off playing the game.
Any one else feeling the same?
Btw. I just preordered from the DOW site for £70 (incl. shipping) since I know it will be a good deal compared to my overcharging FLGS (and I would not be sure about getting the promos either).

I will probably give my minis a good washing (literal) then a Wonderwash just to bring out detail. My painting time will be spent on other games.

What is a wonderwash?
